Leading the way in tippers: Weightlifter's legacy

Origins and Evolution

Founded in 1930s by J.B. Weightman, Weightlifter began its journey crafting wooden vehicle bodies for local agriculture and construction needs. Today, under the ownership of Grange Cross Ltd, the company has expanded its horizons through strategic acquisitions, (PPG Fabrications), innovations, and a diversified clientele.

Innovative milestones

From introducing the first alloy tipper in 1971 to pioneering tipping trailers with hollow alloy interlocking plank sides in the early 1990s, Weightlifter has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation. Embracing sustainable materials like Endural alloy and advanced steels, we have revolutionised durability and reduced weight without compromising strength.

Craftmanship and Heritage

With a deep-rooted commitment to British manufacturing, we take pride in our skilled craftsmen, many of whom have been the company for decades. Modern technology complements traditional craftmanship, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision, from standard models to custom builds.

Innovative milestones

Weightlifter, alongside PPG Fabrications, offers an extensive range or tipping semi-trailers, rigid bodies, walking floors, and ancillary equipment. Built to meet industry standards, compliance with National Small Series UK(NI) Type Approval, and backed by rigorous quality assurance, our products exceed the expectations of a diverse customer base.
